W.F. West Back-to-School Events Starting Next Week

Hello Bearcat students and parents,

We are excited to see students and parents soon as we approach the first day of school on September 1. All students should plan to attend the upcoming back-to-school events below. 

Incoming freshmen will attend Link Day on Tuesday, August 18. Incoming sophomores, juniors, and seniors will attend Readiness Day on Wednesday, August 19 during their designated time. Parents are invited to the first Coffee with the Principal on Friday, August 28 from 7:00-8:00 a.m. Then all students and parents should attend Open House on Monday, August 31, from 5:45 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

• August 18        Link Day, 8 am - 12 pm

  • For the Class of 2030 - all incoming 9th graders should attend.

  • This event is for students only.

  • Parent drop off students at 8 a.m. and pick up at noon at W.F. West.

  • Attend an assembly, tour campus, get your school chromebook, and learn the Bearcat Way!

• August 19        Readiness Day, 8 am - 3 pm

  • Get your schedule, purchase your ASB card or parking pass, get your school picture taken, talk to counselors, and more!

  • Class of 2027 (Seniors), 8:00 a.m - 10:00 a.m.

  • Class of 2028 (Juniors), 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

  • Class of 2029 (Sophomores), 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

• August 28        Coffee with the Principal, 7 am - 8 am

  • Meet new W.F. West principal, Craig Curry.

  • Learn more about the upcoming school year.

  • Share your hopes for your student and for the school year.

  • All parents and community members welcome.

  • We meet in the W.F. West library at 7:00 a.m.

• August 31         Open House, 5:45 pm - 8 pm

  • Start in the W.F. West commons / Welcome from Mr. Curry

  • Walk your schedule and interact with teachers.

  • Attend informational sessions.

• September 1     1st Day of School, 7:40 am - 2:10 pm
