Choice Student Transfers For Non-Resident Students

Choice Student Transfer applications for the 2025-2026 school year will be accepted for both new and returning students starting May 1. Please do not submit a Choice application prior to May 1 or it will be rejected.

Choice Student Transfer allows families living outside the Chehalis School District boundaries to make a request for their student to attend Chehalis Schools. All applications for non-resident attendance will be considered on an equal basis as per school. For more information about the Choice transfer process from OSPI, follow THIS LINK.

Coming May 1

If your student currently attends Chehalis Schools through a Choice Transfer:

  1. Use the link below to reapply for Choice every year you want your student to attend Chehalis Schools.
  2. No further form is required.

Reapplying as early as possible not only allows us to better estimate our student population each year and also helps your family avoid disruptions to your student’s schedule.

All transfers are reviewed year-to-year using the following criteria:

  1. Adherence to school rules and District policies and procedures
  2. Participation and academic performance in the classroom
  3. Consistent attendance

All accepted students are subject to termination of acceptance if the conditions listed are no longer met
