Application Process:
- Positions are posted using EdJobsNW’s application system Red Rover, which can be found through THIS LINK.
- Both internal and external candidates submit an application through EdJobsNW (requires account creation), which can be found through THIS LINK. Each listing provides specific application instructions, including required documents such as resumes, cover letters, and references.
- Applications will be screened after the opening window closes. In some cases, as notated in the job posting, In-District candidates will be given first consideration per collective bargaining agreement language.
- If a position is not filled internally, selected candidates will be invited for an interview.

Substitute Applications:
Looking for something with more flexibility or ability to choose your own schedule? Become a Substitute with us!
- Submit an application through EdJobsNW for a Substitute position. If you need assistance through this process, please call EdJobsNW at 360-464-6855 or email EdJobsNW@esd113.org.
- Once your application has been submitted, EdJobsNW will email you with additional instructions for completing the substitute process, including Fingerprinting and Vector Solutions online training. Once all of the steps are completed, EdJobsNW will notify the Chehalis School District of your interest to substitute in the District.
- The Chehalis School District Human Resources Office will contact you to complete additional paperwork at the District Office.
- You will be activated to substitute in the District! For Food Service substitutes and Custodial substitutes, you will be contacted directly by Chehalis School District for substitute opportunities. For all other substitute positions, you will use the EdJobsNW Red Rover Substitute system to begin accepting substitute jobs.

Ed Para Minimum Employment Requirements
To be eligible for employment as an Ed Para, candidates must meet the following criteria:- Be at least eighteen years of age.
- Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
Additionally, candidates must fulfill ONE of the following conditions:- Hold an associate degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Earn 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Score 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro test. (not administered by CSD). Additional information can be found on the ETS ParaPro website through THIS LINK. To schedule a test, please visit the following websites:
- Score 220 or higher on the Pearson Paraprofessional assessment (not administered by CSD), found at THIS LINK.
- Score 65% or higher on The Master Teacher Inc. Paraeducator Online Training Program (not administered by CSD).

Chehalis School District offers classes in many career and technical education (CTE) program areas, including Agriculture, Business and Marketing, Family and Consumer Sciences, Skilled and Technical Sciences, Health Sciences and STEM. Lack of English language proficiency will not be a barrier to admission and participation in career and technical education programs.
Disclosure Statement and Background Check: Pursuant to RCW Chapter 43.43 as amended, the recommended applicant will be required to complete a disclosure form indicating whether he or she has been convicted of crimes against persons listed in the statute. A criminal conviction history record, based on fingerprints, will also be requested from the Washington State Patrol. Employment will be conditional upon the district’s receipt of a conviction history record that is clear of any convictions, adjudications, protective orders, final decisions, or criminal charges listed in RCW Chapter 43.43, as amended and receipt of sexual misconduct forms from former school district employers with no indication of such behavior.
