Family Resources & Community Support

We Value Our Community Partners

The Chehalis School District is proud to partner with local organizations and groups of people who support the positive development of our young people. Our community includes a diverse population of families with a variety of interests and abilities. Chehalis families love their community and love to support local endeavors.

If you have a service you can provide families, and would like to feature your contact information on this site, submit a Community Family Resources Support Proposal (link below) to Chehalis School District Offices at 310 SW 16th Street, Chehalis, Washington.

Do you need assistance accessing information about services and resources in our community? Cornerstone can help! Cornerstone was created in 2023 to support Chehalis families and prepare students for the journey ahead. Our focus is on young learners whose families may appreciate assistance as they navigate the educational system – and the challenges in life. Cornerstone staff walks alongside our Chehalis families as they explore educational opportunities leading to post secondary degrees and credentials.

Food Support

We can help connect families with local food resources including support from Chehalis Food Bank, Salvation Army, Food For Our Future, and God’s Portion. Give us a call so we can discuss your needs and help you find resources.

Early Education Support

Cornerstone staff have created individualized learning kits to support Chehalis students and their parents. We also provide scholarships for local pre-schools and local learning programs.

Home and Household Support

Many Chehalis families receive help with clothing, laundry supplies, diapers and other household needs. We can also connect you with furniture, gas vouchers, blankets, and rent assistance.

Mental Health Support

In addition to Cornerstone staff support, we can help you connect with local services at Cascade Mental Health, CORE Health, Community Integrated Health Services, and Eugenia Center

Parent Education

Our FREE Cornerstone Parent Education nights have become quite popular. We have featured workshops using Love and Logic. Families receive dinner and childcare for free!

The Cornerstone Program is made possible by funding through the Regional Challenge Grant managed by the Washington Student Achievement Council. For more information, go to Cornerstone Program or call (360) 219-3657.
