Notice of Naviance Class Action Settlement

Several families have contacted us about emails from Kroll Settlement Administration regarding a class action settlement involving PowerSchool's Naviance platform. These emails are legitimate and part of a court-approved notification process. They inform students and parents/guardians of their legal rights and potential eligibility for settlement payments.  

The class action alleges that PowerSchool intercepted students' confidential communications on Naviance without consent between 2021 and 2026. PowerSchool has agreed to a settlement without an admission of wrongdoing. Chehalis School District used Naviance through the 2023-2024 school year. Students in the graduating classes of 2022-2030 may have used the platform during the relevant period and could be eligible for the settlement. If your student used Naviance for college and career planning during their time in our district, you may wish to review the settlement details.
