W.F. West Graduation Change of Location

Because of rain and thunderstorms forecast for Saturday, June 6, the Chehalis School District has made the decision to move the W.F. West High School Class of 2026 commencement ceremony into the W.F. West High School gym.

The high school gym is where we held generations of previous Bearcat graduations. Our intention is to continue our tradition of outdoor ceremonies when conditions allow, however, in this case we are prioritizing the safety of our students, staff and families as well as ensuring graduation will not be postponed.

Moving the ceremonies indoors means seating will be more limited. We would ask those planning to attend to help us make this a joyful experience for all of our graduates and their families by making sure to leave room for others. A limited number of accessible seats will be available and we ask that large groups designate one person to sit with family members who need accommodations. There will be overflow seating on site where visitors may view the live-stream of graduation and you may also view the ceremony from home on our YouTube channel.
