Community Connections

On May 15th, we were so fortunate to be joined, via Zoom, by Dr. Zachary Cole from Flagler College. Several of our 7th and 8th grade students signed up to attend this virtual event about careers in Hospitality and Tourism.

Zac Cole is an assistant professor and program director of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Flagler College. Dr. Cole’s research interests fall at the interface of tourism, hospitality, and conservation, including analysis of adventure tourism products and their responsible development, hospitality in an increasingly diverse market, and investigation into trends in food and beverage tourism. Dr. Cole is passionate about the classroom and providing experiences that extend beyond. He is excited about the new Hospitality and Tourism Management major at Flagler College and all the benefits that come from being in the birthplace of Florida tourism – St. Augustine.

Thank you, Zac, for your unique perspective and for sharing your passion with us!
