When we say we're preparing students for the journey ahead, that doesn't mean they take that journey alone. One way the Chehalis School District is creating student achievement is by providing wrap-around supports beyond our K-12 schools. We are committed to supporting students every step of the way—before they ever enter a classroom and long after they walk across the stage at graduation—with guidance and resources to help them reach their goals.

Bearcat Connect, the W.F. West High School Alumni Association, is one of these wrap-around supports. Through Bearcat Connect:

Beginning Feb. 15, Bearcat Connect will be moving from its current home on Graduway to our district's home on ParentSquare. This move aligns Bearcat Connect with systems being used by the rest of the district and utilizes resources we already have, saving money for the important work of helping our students and alumni succeed.

The Bearcat nation is strong because of the many alumni who choose to live and work in Chehalis. Many W.F. West alumni are teachers, coaches, volunteers and donors for our schools and we want to make sure that future generations of Bearcats step up to do the same.

Bearcat Connect's newest effort is a partnership with the W.F. West High School Career and Technical Education department to continue this legacy. We're working to identify jobs right here in Chehalis that might interest our graduates. Working with community partners such as the City of Chehalis and Port of Chehalis, we're mapping out career pathways for future grads.
