Reset for Success: ParentSquare Preferences

Posted Date: 01/06/26 (05:00 PM)

As we welcome students back to our classrooms this week, we want to share one simple task you can do today that will help you stay informed and help your student start the year strong.

Today’s Task: Check Your ParentSquare Notification Preferences

During the December flooding, many families told us how helpful it was to receive ParentSquare messages by text message. We heard comments like, “Please keep sending texts!”

Here’s the good news — we can!

Those December messages came through as texts because they were sent as Smart Alerts, a special type of ParentSquare message that is delivered in multiple ways to make sure urgent information reaches families quickly.

And if you liked receiving texts, they don’t have to stop.

ParentSquare allows you to receive messages by email, text, or app notification, and you can choose to get them Instant (whenever they are sent during the day) or in a Digest (one message in the evening).

For urgent or emergency alerts, we can override digest settings to ensure messages reach families immediately.

You’re in Control

By default, ParentSquare sends you a Digest email. If that works for you, no changes needed!
If you’d like to receive messages differently, you have two easy options:
  1. Update your ParentSquare notification settings
Log in to your ParentSquare account and adjust your preferences.
CLICK HERE for step-by-step instructions on managing your account.
  2. Email us your preference
Send a message to communications@chehalisschools.org and tell us how you’d like to receive ParentSquare notifications. We’ll update your account for you.
