Reset for Success: Sign On With Skyward

Posted Date: 01/05/26 (05:00 PM)

As we welcome students back to our classrooms this week, we want to share one simple task you can do today that will help you stay informed and help your student start the second half of our school year strong.

Today’s Task: Sign On With Skyward

Skyward Family Access is the platform we use to store student and family information. It is different from ParentSquare, which is our primary communication tool. While ParentSquare pulls family contact information from Skyward, the two systems serve different purposes.

In Skyward Family Access, families can view and manage important information, including:
  • Family members and contact information
  • Emergency contacts
  • Your student’s daily attendance
  • Meal status (free, reduced, or full-price) and account balance (grades 9–12)
  • Classroom assignments (grades K–5) or class schedules (grades 6–12)
  • Grades and missing assignments (grades 6–12)
  • Progress toward graduation (grades 7–12)
Each year, returning families are asked to complete Returning Student Forms in Skyward. These forms only take a few minutes and help us confirm that your family’s information and preferences are accurate and up to date.

This year, 77% of our returning families have already completed these forms. If you’re not sure whether you’ve done so, here’s how to check:
  1. Log in to Skyward Family Access
(Need help? Contact Janis Dobyns at jdobyns@chehalisschools.org.)
  2. Look at the top of the left-hand menu.
    • If you see “25–26 Yearly Renewal Forms (returning student)”, the forms still need to be completed.
    • If you do not see this item, your forms are already complete.
If you haven’t completed the forms for the 2025-2026 school year yet, please take a moment to do so. Keeping this information current helps us better support your family and ensures we are all prepared for the journey ahead.
