During the summer of 2027, the Chehalis School District will be migrating from Skyward SMS to Qmlativ This SQL-based platform combines an easy to navigate user interface and focuses on growth and development of every user. Including embedded customization and workflow tools to meet your unique needs for managing important tasks and processes, allowing for well-informed decisions faster.

 

Qmlativ Migration Phases & Timeline

1. Data & Configuration: Timeline: Current-June 2027

Initial planning, setup and transfer of core historical data. ​​​​​​

2. Core Staff Training: Timeline Winter 2026-June 2027

Focused training sessions for administrators, teachers and key staff members on new modules.

3. Whole Staff Awareness: Timeline Fall 2026-Spring 2027

Outreach, publications and staff engagement including surveys/focus groups to ensure staff awareness and understanding of upcoming migration

4. Preparation for Migration: Timeline February-June 2027

Staff feels informed and prepared. Students and families are aware. Grading and scheduling data must be in place before “dark days” during system migration.

5. Go Live Transition: Timeline July 2027

Official move to Qmlativ. System will be unavailable for a time. Legacy Skyward systems become read-only.

6. Post Launch Support: August 2027 through 2027-2028 School Year

Focused support team available to resolve issues and optimize new workflows.
