Investing in Parents. Strengthening Families.

As the economic landscape continues to shift, Cornerstone remains committed to empowering families through education and opportunity. Our dual-generational approach invests in both parents and children—helping parents pursue higher education, build career skills, and create lasting stability for their families. Below are key resources available to help parents take their next step toward a stronger future.

Dual-Gen Funding: Grants available for parents enrolled in college, certification, or post-secondary programs.
College Support: Help with FAFSA, financial aid, advising, and campus visits.
Career Growth: Career assessments (Dave Ramsey) and resume support.
Guided Pathways: We help parents explore and navigate multiple opportunities.

WA Equity Report
At Cornerstone, we believe education is one of the strongest tools for building lasting stability for families. Data from the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) shows a clear connection between education and financial well-being—individuals with higher levels of education tend to earn more and experience lower unemployment rates throughout their lives.

In Washington, adults with a bachelor’s degree earn, on average, about $1.5 million more over their lifetime than those with only a high school diploma. They’re also half as likely to be unemployed, and those without a high school diploma face even higher unemployment rates.

While these numbers reflect statewide trends, they also highlight an important truth for our community: education opens doors. Whether through college, certification programs, or career training, continued learning creates opportunities for parents and their children—strengthening families and the local economy for generations to come.
