Enrollment and Registration 

Are you a new student in the Chehalis School District?

Planning to enroll your child in the Chehalis School District? Here are a few things you should know:

  • This is for any new students to Chehalis or students that have withdrawn and are returning.
  • Children must be five years old on or before August 31 to enter kindergarten. CLICK HERE to learn more about Kindergarten Readiness.
  • You will need legal documentation verifying age (i.e. birth certificate, passport)
  • You will be asked to sign documentation for the Chehalis School District to request immunization records from the WA Immunization Information System. If your student received immunizations out of state, you will need to provide a medically verified immunization record.
  • Your child’s legal name (the name that appears on the birth certificate) will be used on all official school records.
  • Provide Proof of Residency (a utility bill, cable bill, lease agreement, etc.).

*Make sure the Login Area is: Enrollment Access.

*Select “New Student Online Enrollment” in your current skyward family access.

Are you a returning student to the Chehalis School District?

All returning students will need to complete their annual renewal of information forms online through Skyward’s Family Access area.

Schedules will not be released until this process is complete.

Online renewal of information for 2021-22 will open in August 2021.

Are you requesting a choice transfer as a non-resident student?

All choice transfer students need to complete a new application each year. The application is initiated at your resident school district.

New and returning choice transfer students for 2021-22 should complete their requests starting in May 2021, however, Kindergarten choice capacity is not known until late August.

The Chehalis School District will consider all applications based on the standards identified in Board Policy 3141.
