Does your student enjoy acting, public speaking, or debating? Or maybe they just want to build confidence, teamwork and leadership skills. No experience is needed, all of these power skills will be learned and practiced through Speech & Debate.

These skills will be honed through the program, giving our students tools that last far beyond high school. They’ll practice speaking with confidence in front of an audience, thinking on their feet under pressure, working together as a team, and presenting ideas clearly and concisely. Along the way, students will build strong relationships and friendships. These are the kinds of skills and connections that help students in every class they take and build leadership qualities they can use for the rest of their lives.

My name is Jesus Antonio Hernandez Madrigal and I am the new Speech & Debate advisor. I’ve served as a Multilingual Specialist at W.F. West for the past year and I’m excited to lead this program with our students.
