This past March, Cornerstone was honored to welcome children’s book author Halee R.R. Hernandez for a special reading of her newest release, "Rosa and Eddy: Bravery in Your Pocket." This Cuban themed event was a resounding success, drawing a wonderful crowd of families, educators, and young readers eager to hear from the inspiring storyteller.

Halee captivated the audience with her heartfelt reading, bringing to life the story of Rosa and her brave companion Eddy. The book’s message about discovering courage in unexpected places resonated with listeners of all ages, sparking meaningful conversations and plenty of smiles.

Guests also enjoyed a delicious Cuban influenced dinner provided by Crowded Kitchen, whose warm, nourishing food added an extra touch of hospitality and authenticity to the evening.
