Are you a new student in the Chehalis School District?
Planning to enroll your child in the Chehalis School District? Here are a few things you should know:
- This is for any new students to Chehalis or students that have withdrawn and are returning.
- If you already have a student in the Chehalis School District and need to enroll another student for grades 1-12, choose “New Student Online Enrollment” in Skyward Family Access
- For Kindergarten registration, see section below
- You will need legal documentation verifying age (i.e. birth certificate, passport)
- You will be asked to sign documentation for the Chehalis School District to request immunization records from the WA Immunization Information System. If your student received immunizations out of state, you will need to provide a medically verified immunization record.
- Your child’s legal name (the name that appears on the birth certificate) will be used on all official school records.
- You will be asked to provide Proof of Residency (a utility bill, cable bill, lease agreement, etc.).
Are you requesting a choice transfer as a non-resident student?
Choice Transfer Requests for the 2024-2025 school year are now being accepted.
All choice transfer students need to complete a new application each year. The application is initiated at your resident school district.
The Chehalis School District will consider all applications based on the standards identified in Board Policy 3141.

Online Kindergarten Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open.
We use SKYenroll Online Enrollment for all Kindergarten enrollments.
Kindergarteners attend James Lintott Elementary. Children must be five years old on or before August 31 to enter kindergarten.

Are you a returning student to the Chehalis School District?
All returning students need to complete Required Yearly Update Forms through Skyward Family Access each summer before returning to school. This process is important so that we have up-to-date information for your family.
For Chehalis Middle School and W.F. West High School, schedules will not be released until this process is complete.
