Middle School Athletics
At Chehalis Middle School, students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. Athletics often help students grow and mature, giving them much needed tools and practice for working with others and developing social skills.
Middle school sports are open to all 7th and 8th graders. 6th graders may participate and compete in Cross Country, Wrestling and Track.
If you are considering having your student participate in athletics at CMS, please click the “Register for Athletics” button to complete the necessary forms. ASB and athletic fees can be found on the Fees & Supplies page of this website.

Athletic Fees Required (due by 1st Practice):
ASB Card – $25 (yearly fee)
Athletic Participation Fee – $25 per sport
Clearance Process:
Online athletic registration for the 2024-2025 school year is now open. To access online clearance forms, go to www.rankonesport.com, hover over “For Parents” then click on “Fill Out Electronic Forms”, select “WA state”, click on “Chehalis Schools”, then click on “No Thanks”, then click on “Electronic Participation Forms”. Enter your student’s first name, last name, Student ID, and School Attending. Then you can fill out:
- Activity Code
- Eligibility Packet
- Safety Guidelines and Warning Agreement
- Concussion Information Sheet
- Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Info Sheet
Form to be completed by a medical doctor, and submitted to the CMS office, BEFORE FIRST PRACTICE:

Athletic Registration Forms
Online registration for 2024-2025 Fall CMS Athletics is now open
All forms and fees need to be taken care of in order to practice the first day of turn-out. CMS uses online registration for registering for sports. Please note the number needed to create an account online is the Skyward Student Identification number. You can find your student’s Student Identification Number by logging into Skyward Family Access and choosing “Student Info” from the menu on the left hand side.
