Did you know that more than 51 million school hours are lost by students each school year because of poor dental health? To help, Big Smiles Washington is bringing in-school dental clinics to the Chehalis School District. Parents can sign their students up for dental care at a mobile clinic that will be offered at their school. Upcoming dates for Big Smiles Washington clinics are:

  • Nov. 27 at James Lintott Elementary
  • Nov. 28 at Orin Smith Elementary
  • Nov. 29 make up day
  • Nov. 30 at Chehalis Middle School
  • Dec. 1 at W.F. West High School

Dental care includes a complete dental exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride and sealants when necessary, and in some cases, restorative care such as fillings. If your student is insured by Medicaid/CHIP/Apple Health, dental care may be free of cost. Private insurance and self-pay options are also available.

Permission slips to take part in the Big Smiles visits to the Chehalis School District will go home with students on Oct. 13 and need to be returned by Nov. 3.
