Known by the official name Lewis County Alternative School, we refer to the Chehalis School District’s alternative school as Turning Point. This represents the notion that many of our students have reached a juncture in their lives where they are prepared to make a positive change in their approach to school; a true Turning Point in their lives.
At Turning Point we provide students with an alternative learning environment that recognizes that they are unique individuals with varied circumstances and needs that may not be met in a traditional school setting; and provides a supportive, caring environment where students can thrive, succeed, and graduate from high school.
We serve Chehalis School District students, at the eleventh grade level and up, who may benefit from an alternative learning program. These students are identified in a cooperative effort between W.F. West High School and Turning Point staff.
