Career and College Readiness (CCR) Wednesdays in the Chehalis School District include students and staff wearing career or college apparel. This year at Orin C. Smith Elementary, the CCR team set a goal for every student to receive a career or college t-shirt. To-date, the school has received contributions from the University of Washington, St. Martin’s University, FORMA Construction, Travers Electric, and Centralia College, totaling over 200 t-shirts. A big thank you to these t-shirt donors!
Career and college preparation activities such as this are part of the Student Achievement Initiative with a Career and College Readiness focus. Chehalis School District’s goal is to prepare graduates to succeed in a meaningful career and/or college degree post-graduation. Aware, eligible and prepared = ready.
