Chehalis Middle School families,

It has been so good to be back in person this year, thank you for working with us through all the transitions.

Next year, we will be processing returning student information a little differently. In preparation of this, we wanted to be sure all families have Skyward set up. Now is a good time to verify your account is working. You can review your student’s grades and attendance information for this year, and make sure you are set up for next year. Skyward will be closed for the middle of summer while we do some maintenance (July 15th to Aug 24th). If you need to reset your Skyward password, please visit our school Skyward login and select the password reset link:

If you have tried this and do not have an email address in our system please contact the school office to get set up. Note: the CMS office will be closed June 23rd and will reopen August 25th.

Schedules will not be released until returning student information has been updated!

Skyward will re-open approximately two weeks before school starts. You will need to log on and complete returning student renewal of information before you or your student will be able to view their 2022-23 school schedule.

Review this short video to see how quick and easy it is to get your student ready for next year!

Returning out of district students will not be able to fill out renewal of information until Choice paperwork is turned in. In addition, choice students will not have their schedule released until Out of District  paperwork is turned in and the renewal of information is filled out.

We will be kicking off the year with Football, Cross Country, and Girls Soccer. If your student wishes to participate in a sport, please email: or call the CMS office at 360-807-7230 after August 24th to add your student to the roster (please include your child’s name, grade, and which sport they wish to participate in), 1st practice is August 29th. Rank One Sport registration opens August 1st. A current sports physical will be required prior to starting any sport. Physicals are good for 13 months from the date of completion. Fax to 360 740 1849.

Sports fees are as follows:

Sport fee: $20 per sport

ASB Card: $20 once per year

6th grade students are only allowed to participate in Cross Country and Track practices.

ALL 7th and 8th grade students are required to have a TDaP booster administered on or after age 10 or a valid exemption on file with the school. All students must be in compliance with all required vaccines before the first day of school. Students not in compliance on the first day of school will not be allowed to attend classes. Medically verified immunization records are required.

Free meals for all students ends at the conclusion of this (21-22) school year; next year students will either need to be a part of the Free and Reduced Meals program or pay for their meals.

If your family has previously qualified for the Free and Reduced Price Meals program, you will need to reapply each school year. Applications are available on the district website, at the CMS office, or the District Office starting mid July. Students will be responsible for meal costs until Free/Reduced applications are processed and approved. All CMS students have an electronic food service account and will use a PIN number.  This PIN number and account will be theirs throughout their time with Chehalis School District.  Parents/Guardians may deposit any amount of money into their student’s account for meal purchases.

Any library books that were not returned at the end of the school year will be listed as a fine on your student’s account. Your student may see what books he/she has out through the Destiny/Follett link on HelloId. After clicking the link, click Chehalis Middle School, then Log in (upper right hand corner), then Sign on through Google.

Picture day will be Sept 20th! Any students interested in purchasing a 22-23 ASB card (needed for participation in all sports) should purchase prior to picture day.
