Over three days this spring, almost 200 Cascade Elementary School 1st graders visited the Children’s Hands-on-Museum in Olympia for their end-of-the-year field trip.
This past May, a luncheon was held at Cascade Elementary School to say thank you to our volunteers. The Chehalis School District has over 1,300 volunteers who have served almost 3,000 hours in our three elementary schools. THANK YOU!

Students at Olympic use lunchtime to practice their social skills lessons.
On April 24, 2015, Olympic Elementary School held its 25th annual school-wide spelling bee, which is sponsored by the Chehalis Kiwanis Club. Ten grade level spelling bee finalists participated. Cascade students participated in a Young Author’s Workshop and shared their writing with their classmates this spring.
On Friday, March 27th, twelve Olympic Elementary students participated in the 4th annual “Kids Can Cook” event. The students, with assistance from team leaders (Chehalis School District lunch ladies), prepared their recipes, and made display plates and recipe samples for the event reception.
