Director of Business and Operations, Heather C. Pinkerton, addressed the board and delivered the Budget Status Report as of August 31, 2021. She shared with the board that, “we received our depreciation payment and $16,520 from the sale of surplus buses in our Transportation Vehicle Fund in August.” Although it is a preliminary report, Mrs. Pinkerton feels optimistic that the General Fund ending balances will come in at least the 5.585M that was budgeted to start the fiscal year.

In addition, Mrs. Pinkerton was pleased to report that approximately 500 students received meals this summer. That equaled about 10,000 meals served. Food service staff also continues to write grants in attempts to acquire new ovens.
