Congratulations to the Chehalis School District Award of Excellence 2020 and 2021 recipients!
At the first-ever outdoor commencement ceremony for the class of 2021, we honored our graduating seniors who, for the first time, sat together as a graduating class. At their commencement, we had the privilege of honoring our community members and partners who contributed to the success of the class of 2021 and students across the district.
The 2020 award winners are the founders and owners of Pacific Mobile Structures: Dick Haakenson, Jean Sheridan, Garth Haakenson, and Gretchen Moore.
“We are so very grateful for your generous and effective support of Chehalis young people.” Director State shared on Saturday. “Your family has a heart for giving and service. Your support for community projects including the Gail and Carolyn Shaw Aquatics Center, the renovation of Penny Playground, your work with Boys and Girls Club all benefit Chehalis students.”
Director Peterson presented the 2021 award to Centralia College President Dr. Robert Mohrbacher and his team, who diligently help students at W.F. West prepare for college alongside our remarkable counseling staff. Director Peterson recognized Dr. Mohrbacher “for his leadership and the work of the Centralia College team who have given so much time and effort to enhance the future for our graduating Bearcats.”
