“Dr. Moloney rose to the top of a thorough and thoughtful process,” said Colleen State, Board President. “We had a remarkably strong pool of applicants. Chehalis is a special place and we knew we needed a special person to carry on the great work that has been happening here in our schools. We are very excited to see Christine lead the hard work of our dedicated staff forward to the next level on our Student Achievement Initiative and continue to forge community partnerships like those with Centralia College and our Chehalis Foundation.”
Dr. Christine Moloney currently serves as a Chief Academic Officer in the Puyallup School District. Dr. Moloney completed her undergraduate degree at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, and her Masters Degree, Superintendent Certificate and Doctorate at City University in Seattle. Over two days, the two top candidates toured Chehalis schools. Staff and community had an opportunity to meet each candidate in a social atmosphere and listen to the interviews conducted by the Board in a public meeting. The Board then held executive sessions to discuss candidate qualifications, at which time, all staff and community comments were reviewed.
