Summertime is a great time to update your child’s immunizations so they’re ready for school in the fall. Parents may want to make appointments with their child’s medical provider for their required vaccines before the back to school rush.
Important: Public Health Immunization Clinic closing permanently in August
Lewis County Public Health and Social Services (LCPHSS) will close permanently the public health immunization clinic on August 16, 2018.
Other options for parents:
Northwest Pediatric Center (www.nwpeds.com) will vaccinate any child at their nurse clinics even if they are not a patient at the clinic. Call (360) 736-6778 to make an appointment.
Valley View Clinics (www.vvhc.org) will vaccinate children who are not Valley View patients at the Centralia Pediatrics Clinic at 220 Washington Street. Valley View patients can receive vaccinations at any Valley View location. Call (360) 330-9595 to schedule an appointment.
Pharmacies cover limited children’s vaccinations but each has specific guidelines on age, availability, and insurance coverage. Lewis County pharmacies offering some children’s vaccines include Centralia Pharmacy, Colton’s, Safeway, Walmart, Rite Aid, and Walgreens. Contact the pharmacy for specific information.
