The staff at W.F. West believes that the Family Access program will make it easier for you to stay involved with your student’s academic progress. You now have the ability to access your student’s information and grades for each class. The following guidelines will help you make best use of this powerful tool:

  • Please remember that until final grades are posted a teacher’s electronic gradebook is essentially a “work in progress.” Grade weighting may change as teachers add or remove assignments.
  • It is reasonable to expect teachers at W.F. West to update their online gradebooks, on average, once every two weeks. The actual time will vary depending on the time of the term (less frequent updates at the beginning of a semester and more frequent updating as a semester progresses).
  • Most importantly, take note of missing assignments and talk with your son/daughter about the reasons for the missing work. Then, contact the teacher if you still have questions.

There are two levels of family access to Skyward:  student and parent.  Students are given their login and password information at school.  Parents may request the information from their child’s school.  If a parent has students at multiple schools, one login will work for students in every school that uses Skyward.

We hope you find this tool a valuable resource.

Grades are viewable (and printable) on Skyward at http://family.chehalis.wa-k12.net.  If you have any questions, please contact the WFW Office at 807-7235.
